Q: How does DataSafe work?
StudioPlus Spectra will automatically upload a copy of your database to our secure servers every night. Every morning you will receive an email confirming the current status of your backed up files, giving you peace of mind that your data is safe and secure.
Q: How secure is my data?
Very secure. Before each file is uploaded, it is compressed, password protected with a unique password, and encrypted with 256 bit AES encryption.
Q: How many copies of my database do you retain?
Fourteen! We will retain the seven most recent daily backups, the five most recent weekly backups, and the two most recent annual backups.
Q: What happens if I need a copy of my recently backed up data?
Call the StudioPlus technical support department and they’ll arrange to deliver the correct database file to you immediately.
Q: Are my images also backed up?
No. Only the Spectra database is backed up. You are still responsible to back up all your image files.
Q: How much does peace of mind cost?
For most clients – those running Spectra Express, Standard, or Professional – the cost is $165 per year (or $15 per month) with a current maintenance plan. Without a current maintenance plan, the cost is $275 per year (or $25 per month). For those clients running Spectra SQL or Enterprise, the cost is $295 per year (or $27 per month) with a current maintenance plan. Without a current maintenance plan, the cost is $485 per year (or $45 per month). Prices quoted are per location.
